Ways to Move

In 2022, you can support the Ride in two ways: In-Person or Virtually. Join teams from across Canada at the Sun Life Ride to Defeat Diabetes for JDRF to raise funds and move together towards our ultimate finish line: a world without T1D.   


Pick your city, Toronto or Montreal, register to secure your team of five’s spot and then ask your family and friends to support your Ride fundraising with a donation.   

  • Recruit colleagues on your team and challenge your corporate rivals to participate in the Ride: a little friendly competition never hurt anyone.  

  • In-Person Riders can expect to participate in a one-hour, fun and high energy event where each team member rides a stationary spin bike for 10 minutes, while their colleagues cheer them on .

Pick an activity that will get you moving at home: Spin, Sweat or Stretch and register your team of five. Then, ask your family and friends to support your Ride fundraising with a donation.    

  • Between October 6 and 13, tune-in to a virtual Spin, Sweat or Stretch session and participate with your team anytime and anywhere that fits your schedule.   

  • Virtual participants can expect a 30-minute fitness session as part of a 50-minute-long program, taught by professional fitness studios with an exceptional experience for our Ride participants.

Canadians of all fitness levels can get involved by competing in teams of five or individually. Join JDRF, make a difference and experience the excitement of the Ride no matter where you participate, and get ready to move work aside and move for a cure this October!   

In 2022, we are excited to partner with professional fitness studios across Canada to provide an exceptional Spin, Sweat and Stretch experience for our virtual Ride participants.
